Some UPM or agent parameters may not be applied by the agent after switching from GPO settings to VUEM settings.
In order to optimise Windows performance, VUEM has two caches stored in the registry: a per-machine cache which stores non-user parameters (Microsoft USV, Citrix UPM) and one per-user cache which stores user parameters (assigned actions, start menu settings, etc.). These caches are used to indicate which settings have already been applied and do not need to be re-applied.
In some cases (e.g. migrating a profile from a VUEM server to a GPO server and back), the cached settings may cause the VUEM agent not to apply some settings properly.
1. UPM settings are not being applied (or are applied incorrectly) after switching from GPOs to VUEM configuration
If this happens, you will need to delete the machine cache, which is at the following registry location:
This will force VUEM to re-apply the per-machine settings (Microsoft USV or Citrix UPM settings, respectively).
2. Agent settings are not being applied (or are applied incorrectly) after logging in to a server that does not have VUEM installed, then back into the VUEM server with the same profile
If this happens, you will need to delete the agent settings archive, which is at the following registry location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VirtuAll Solutions\VirtuAll User Environment Manager\Agent\
Please note that this should never be done if this issue is not happening.
